FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Q) Garbage collection

A.) Garbage and Recycling are collected Tuesday morning unless there is a recognized holiday on Monday, then it will be collected on Wednesday. Trash cans and items such as grass clippings, recycled material, etc. may be placed on the curb on Monday evening or early Tuesday morning.


Q) New to the neighborhood and I did not receive a welcome letter, Covenants or pool FOB.

A) Email eastlakehoaauburn@gmail.com to request a welcome letter and FOB.  You can obtain a copy of the Covenants here or through the Download/Forms tab on this site.


Q) Cars parked in the street in front of neighbors home.

A) First, contact the homeowner.  If that does not address the situation, email eastlakehoaauburn@gmail.com and the proper measures will be taken to correct the covenant violation.


Q) Installing a fence, closing in porch, etc.

A) All changes to the originally submitted building and landscape plans must be approved by the Architectural  Review Committee (ARC)  BEFORE you begin any project. Fences will need to be of specific materials and construction.

Q) Replacement pool FOB

A) Email  eastlakehoaauburn@gmail.com and request a new pool entry FOB. There is a $25 replacement charge for a new FOB,  your current FOB will be deactivated and you will be assigned a new one. 


Q.) How can I view ELHOA Financial Statements?

A.) Homeowners, either as individuals or through agents, may have access to the HOA’s books and records. Access requires a promise to protect and not disclose  individual homeowner's personal private information (PPI). A non-disclosure agreement (NDA) is required for anyone wishing access to the HOA’s system of record, QuickBooks.  The HOA employs MASWEN, CPA, PC to provide information from the system of record. The NDA is made available in Downloads/Forms pursuant to Article V of the Articles of Incorporation of [the] East Lake Subdivision Homeowners Association.  Article V, titled “Fiscal Matters and Books and Records” Sections 5:02 and Section 5:30 state.
